From 10–12 February 2026 the world’s premier organic trade fair, BIOFACH, opened its doors once again at the Nürnberg Messe, bringing together over 2 500 exhibitors from every corner of the organic sector. The three‑day event served as a global marketplace and knowledge hub, linking regional, national and international stakeholders committed to a sustainable, organic future.
German-Kazakh Agricultural Policy Dialogue – Organic Agriculture Expert S. Khasanov participated in the exhibition, holding strategic meetings and discussing future cooperation opportunities with key international institutions, including IFOAM Organics International, the Julius Kühn Institute, as well as representatives of the University of Hohenheim.
During the event, he also facilitated a meeting among the Kazakh Research Institute of Agriculture and Farming, the Kazakh Research Institute of Plant Protection, and the Center for Organic Research of the University of Hohenheim to initiate future scientific and research cooperation.
As we all recognize, the development of organic agriculture requires not only strong producers, but also well-trained specialists in agricultural extension services and university education. Strengthening education, research, and international collaboration remains a key pillar for building a sustainable agricultural future.
Together, we are shaping the future of organic agriculture.
