Certificate of Admission Awarded to the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.
After a comprehensive COROS analysis and active involvement of international and local experts with the support of the “German-Kazakh Agricultural Policy Dialogue” (APD) project, Kazakhstan has officially joined the IFOAM Family of Standards, marking a major achievements in the country’s commitment to the development of organic agriculture.
The Certificate of Admission into the IFOAM Family of Standards was formally handed over to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan during the Central Asian Regional Forum “Organic EXPO-2025” held in Almaty on September 26, 2025.
This achievement recognizes Kazakhstan’s national organic standard as being in full alignment with the global principles and requirements of IFOAM – Organics International. The admission demonstrates Kazakhstan’s dedication to promoting environmentally friendly farming practices, supporting rural development, and strengthening consumer trust in organic products.
Officials from the Ministry of Agriculture emphasized that this recognition will encourage the growth of the organic sector, attract new investments, and contribute to the transition towards sustainable agricultural systems in Kazakhstan.
